I'm Lindsey, owner of Bright Path Advocacy. Bright Path was born out of a desire to help families navigate the complexities of special education. I have been where you are right now. It was an isolating place, but it doesn't have to be. Please reach out so we can get started on a path of success to help your child.
As a passionate educational advocate for children with learning differences, I understand firsthand the challenges and obstacles that families can face in seeking appropriate support and resources. My own experience with my child's unique learning needs has taught me the importance of advocacy. I reached out to our local school district for help but was advised to adopt a wait-and-see approach. Despite this recommendation, I remained determined to see my child succeed.
I discovered that my child had specific learning differences that required tailored instruction. This realization was the catalyst for my deep dive into the world of educational advocacy. As I quickly learned, this was a completely different school system than the one we had previously been involved in. It came with its own language that the educators spoke, but I had not yet learned.
Through countless hours of research, training, and collaboration with experts, I gained invaluable insights into the challenges faced by students with diverse learning needs. I learned the language and became very effective at using it.
As an educational advocate, I have come to recognize the importance of parent advocacy. By working collaboratively with parents, I strive to empower them with the knowledge and tools they need to become effective advocates for their children's education. At Bright Path Advocacy, we are committed to providing comprehensive services to families seeking educational support and resources, including educational advocacy, special education advocacy, IEP's and 504 plans.
During this 30-minute virtual consultation, we will have the opportunity to get to know one another and discuss your child's unique needs. My goal is to determine whether my services are a good fit for your family and to provide you with information about how I can support you in navigating the complex world of special education.
During our comprehensive records review, I will carefully examine your child's educational record in order to identify any areas of concern and determine the most appropriate next steps to ensure that your child receives the support and resources they need to succeed. These reviews vary in length depending on the amount of material to review. A records review is necessary before I can attend IEP or 504 meetings.
I am available to accompany you to school meetings in order to provide professional guidance and support. I am committed to working collaboratively with schools to ensure that your child's unique needs are met and that they have access to the resources and accommodations necessary for educational success.
I am available to provide coaching and support in order to help you effectively advocate for your child's educational needs. I am committed to empowering families with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the education system and to secure the resources and accommodations necessary for your child's success. Whether your child is in a public school with an IEP or a private school without one, I can help you create a path to a more meaningful education.
